Hollyland Mars X

In this video, I review the Hollyland Mars X HDMI Wireless Video Transmitter. This is a well designed, solid, and compact unit that allows you to transmit an HDMI signal to up to 3 mobile devices (works with Android and iOS). It has a built-in 1300 mAh lithium-ion battery and it is very portable. A few keys features are low latency, OLED display, and it has a transmission range of up to 300 ft. Currently selling for $179 USD at the time of filming this video, it is currently one of the best budget-friendly options for a wireless video transmitter.

A few things to note that I forgot to mention in this review, this transmitter does not it doesn’t transmit in 4K, but you can transmit up to a 1080p60 HDMI signal. Also, you can only receive progressive frame rates, as it will not work with Interlaced format input signals, those frame rates are not supported.

*Hollyland has confirmed that the following Canon cameras are not compatible with the Mars X: Canon 6D, 60D, 5D Mark II, 80D, and 90D.
