Godox VD-Mic Review
I recently received the new Godox VD-Mic Shotgun Microphone and I did a review on my YouTube channel, you can watch that review here. To be completely transparent with you, Godox reached out to me and asked me if I was interested in reviewing it, so I agreed. The thoughts and opinions expressed in my review are mines, I am not obligated to say anything positive about the microphone.
So a little bit about the Godox VD-Mic Shotgun Microphone, it is very compact (3 inches long) and lightweight shotgun mic. It weighs only 40 grams! It is designed for use on DSLR and mirrorless digital cameras, as well as smartphones and tablets.
In the video below you'll be able to listen to some test shots and see a brief comparison to the Deity DUO D4 and the Comica CVM-VM10 II. The Godox VD-Mic includes a case, 3.5 mm TRS cable, 3.5 mm TRS to TRRS cable, a Rycote shock mount, a windscreen foam, and a furry windscreen (dead cat). It is currently priced at $59 USD on Amazon.com.
